I have been a proud resident of Middle Village since my parents relocated from Williamsburg in 1992. Graduate of St. Margaret's '96, St. Francis Prep '00, and Baruch College '05. Upon marriage to my lovely wife, Carmelann Caputo, we joined OLH Parish in 2010. All 3 of our children attend OLH Academy. I have donated time to coaching CYO soccer and flag football. I have been a member of the Parish Council since Sept 2020 and President since Sept 2021. Lector since April 2021. I am incredibly proud and lucky to call myself a neighbor to you and this community.
My wife and I have been members of Our Lady of Hope Parish since 1999. We have been married for 28 years and have visited many Marian shrines. I am an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and Co-Chairman of the Vocations Committee. I also am a member of the Holy Name Society and have been on the Pastoral Council for two years. I was an Aircraft Engineer for 25 years and now work in Corporate Finance and Accounting. I also taught Economics at the college level.
I have been a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish for 19 years. I am married to Joe and have two children who graduated from Our Lady of Hope School. I was a member of the Parish Council in 2012. I assisted the parish with wedding rehearsals and the Arise prayer group. Also, I am a member of the Rosary Altar Society and a Eucharistic Minister. As a current member of the Parish Council, I look forward to serving the Parish community with its current plans and mission.
I arrived in the Parish in 1961 as a five year old and graduated from Our Lady of Hope School in 1970. Graduated from Archbishop Molloy in 1974, Fordham University in 1978 and I am a CPA. I also coached CYO at Hope for 30 years (1989-2019) and served on the Board of the OLH Athletic Association for 15 years, the last five as President. I was elected into the CYO Hall of Fame in 2015. I was on the first Pastoral Council at Hope in 2007, served as President for six years and am in the final year of my second term, having served 10 years for three different pastors. I have been an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion for many years also. My wife, Karen, and I led the In-Home Pre-Cana Program at its inception in 1990. We have also been one of three Lay couples who teach a Baptism class to first time parents and raised our four children through all of their sacraments at OLH. I have volunteered at the Religious Ed program for over 10 years, was appointed Parish Trustee and member of the Finance Committee in 2020.
I have been a member of this Parish since its inception in the tent in 1960. I have always been involved in one way or another, especially in the Rosary Altar Society. I always attend daily mass and serve as somewhat of an “unofficial sacristan” at those masses. I have also served as a Eucharistic Minister for about 25 years. Helping out at our Parish is an important part of my life. I love Our Lady of Hope and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
Born in Maspeth, I have been a parishioner of OLH since its inception in 1960. I received a BA and MA in Education from Queens College, teaching my first year in Commack, LI. Following my marriage, we moved to VA and I taught in Washington DC, becoming the first white integrationist in a public school where I enriched and encouraged children to be educated in a poor, high-risk area. I then taught CCD in St. Genevieve’s School on the west coast and then moved to Mississippi, where I started the first Religious Ed Program in St. Mary’s church. There, I was appointed DRA in a Baptist area where there were few Catholics. We returned to NY, where all our 9 children went to OLH. There, I started my happiest 35 years of teaching CCD on Sunday mornings. When our oldest son entered the Air Force Academy, my husband and I became the Presidents of the Air Force Academy Parents Club in NYC. I taught at PS102, St. Aloysius, opened the newly formed PS 16 in Corona, and opened PS 58, the School of Heroes with a chosen contingency of teachers. I became Principal of St. Mark’s in Sheepshead Bay and guided the school in achieving a strong education based on faith and morals. I started my PHD at BKLYN College, but had to forestall the completion due to the 24-hour commitment to St. Mark’s school. Today I’m involved in the Preparation of New Parents for Baptism, am a Rosarian and a proud member of our Parish Council.
I have been a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish since its inception back in 1960 and am also a graduate of its school, class of ’71. I attended St. Nicholas High SchooI in Williamsburg and Hunter College-Bellevue School of Nursing (1979). I became a Registered Nurse and recently retired from NYULMC after 41 years of service. I have been married for 41 years (Mark-retired FDNY), have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. My family and I have found both the joy and importance of serving others. I currently serve as VP of the Rosary Altar Society and as a member of the Hopeful Hands. I became a member of the Pastoral Council in order to help maintain this outstanding Parish that has meant so much to my family and myself. OLH Parish has played an integral part in formulating my Catholic values, as well as my personal ones, and holds a special place in my heart.
I have been a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish for over 40 years. Serving as a Eucharistic Minister for over 25 years, I have been instrumental in our Parish delivering Communion to the homebound. I have taught CCD for over six years at various parishes and am deeply devoted to my faith and religion.
Born and raised in Yonkers, NY, I moved to Queens when I married and joined the Parish in 1975. My husband and I have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. As a parishioner, I wanted to serve the parish more. I became a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Rosary Altar Society, where I served as Vice-President for several years. When my children started school at Our Lady of Hope, I volunteered there and eventually became a Kindergarten classroom aide. I remained in the classroom for 12 years, and then accepted the position of office secretary, where I have served for over 23 years. Serving on the Parish Council allows me to continue being involved in our Parish.
Born and raised in Ridgewood, I’m now a Maspeth resident and have been a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish since my marriage in 2007. Throughout my life, my love of sports led me to serve many communities in Brooklyn and Queens as a Little League baseball coach, high school softball and youth basketball coach. I’m currently a USSF licensed girls’ soccer coach with BW Gottschee. I served on the Executive Board of the Juniper Park Civic Association for six years and have been serving on Community Board 5 since 2018.
I have been a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish since 1979 and graduated from Our Lady of Hope School in 1993. I'm employed as an Elementary school Science teacher with the NYC Department of Education. I am very involved in the Parish, serving as President of the Holy Name Society, Lector, member of the vocations committee, events committee, decorating committee, and a Hopeful Hand. I have been teaching Sunday School at OLH since 1995. Outside of Our Lady of Hope, I am a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a volunteer for the past 30 years with the Boy Scouts of America.
I am a first generation Polish American, and a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Hope. Our Parish has given me all of my sacraments, except for baptism. I graduated from Our Lady of Hope in 2012. During my time at Hope, I was a member of the 3x back-to-back Diocesan soccer championship team, altar servers, and safety patrol. Throughout my high school years, I worked as Hope's sacristan and I am the founder of Archbishop Molloy's Catholic Culture Club. I joined the Parish Council because I believe that it is critical for young adults to be involved in their local parish. I look forward to helping develop the faith and mission of our Parish. Currently, I am a law student.
