Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is the third and final Sacrament of Initiation which imparts the gift of the Holy Spirit upon those who have already been baptized.

In the Diocese of Brooklyn candidates for Confirmation must be at least thirteen years of age and have completed the necessary preparation through study, prayer and service.

Candidates for Confirmation at Our Lady of Hope parish must be enrolled in our Catholic Academy or our parish Religious Education program. Two years of immediate prepartion is required before reception of the Sacrament.

The celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation is typically celebrated in the early spring.
